👋 Hey there
Introduction
I'm Hassan Murtaza. I graduated from COMSATS University, Islamabad, and I've spent my career as a DevOps engineer, mostly deep in AWS. I credit myself for being hardworking, resilient, goal-oriented, and focused. I love spending time with family, and friends mean a lot to me.
AWS cloud engineer
Most of my time goes into learning and building automation workflows on AWS. Building CI/CD pipelines with AWS code services like CodePipeline, and infrastructure automation with CloudFormation, are my favorite recipes. Doing automation in the cloud using serverless architecture (Lambda) fascinates me. I've managed cloud architectures with a ton of resources — EC2, RDS, SNS, Lambda, and more.
DevOps engineer
Because of my interest in CI/CD pipelines, I've gone above and beyond and learned tools like Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and Jenkins to automate the software delivery process. I've set up an Elastic Stack to monitor logs from a fleet of EC2 instances, and I work closely with development teams to promote a DevOps culture.
Open sourcerer (pun intended)
The whole concept behind open source intrigues me — how you can help people around the world and make a difference through your knowledge. I regularly open-source stuff around serverless architecture and AWS services.
Hiker
I believe there are three things about your life you should always prioritize: health, diet, and exercise. I love hiking — I do it every once in a while to get out of my busy routine and refocus on my goals and progress. Other than that, I run most mornings to keep myself energetic for the day.
